The Shadow Project provides teachers with trainings, materials, and services that improve their ability to engage and educate children with learning-related disabilities.

Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative Best Practices in Parenting Education Assessment Project

Using the fidelity to best practices in parenting education tool developed in partnership with the Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative (OPEC) under a previous contract with The Ford Family Foundation, RMC Research will conduct fidelity assessments of 15 grantees in Oregon in 2016.

Early School Success

Agency: Children’s Institute

Children’s Institute in Portland, Oregon, through funding from the James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation, contracted with RMC Research to conduct focus groups with preschool through Grade 3 teachers.

Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative Fidelity Study

RMC Research created a fidelity tool to assess implementation of best practices in parenting education for The Ford Family Foundation as part of the Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative (OPEC).

Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program Evaluation Service

Agency: Oregon Health Authority

RMC Research and ICF International, contracted by the Oregon Health Authority, developed and implemented the Oregon Community Services Study, a study of the early childhood home visiting services in 8 Oregon counties with Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV)-funded home visiting. MIECHV programs are designed to improve home visiting programs and strengthen the coordination of services for at-risk communities with the ultimate goal of improving outcomes for families.

Migrant Seasonal Early Head Start Evaluation

Agency: Oregon Child Development Coalition

RMC Research provided technical assistance to the Oregon Child Development Coalition to evaluate best practices in the Migrant Seasonal/Early Head Start programs that serve children and families in 12 Oregon counties.

Washington State Even Start Performance Monitoring System

Agency: Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction

RMC Research worked under contract with the with the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) to conceptualize, design, implement, and manage a computer-assisted, web-based performance monitoring system used by local projects to track and report family outcomes in Even Start Family Literacy programs in the state.

Local Even Start Evaluation: Longview, Washington

Agency: Longview School District

RMC Research served as the local evaluator for the William F. Goodling Even Start Family Literacy program implemented in Longview, Washington, with funding from the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Coffee Creek Family Preservation Project

Agency: Portland Community College

The Coffee Creek Family Preservation Project, funded through the Oregon Department of Corrections, drew upon best practices research and experience implementing family centered programs to design and deliver high quality services to incarcerated mothers and their children.
