Through LitCamp, Scholastic Education and LitWorld aim to engage students in reading and literacy. Scholastic Education contracted RMC Research to conduct an evaluation of LitCamp in summer 2018 in a district that is implementing LitCamp for two hours a day for students in kindergarten through Grade 6.

Project America

In a research-practice partnership with Lucas Education Research and Educurious, RMC Research supports a multiyear implementation and outcome study of Project America, a new project-based learning Grade 8 U.S. History curriculum.

Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative Best Practices in Parenting Education Assessment Project

Using the fidelity to best practices in parenting education tool developed in partnership with the Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative (OPEC) under a previous contract with The Ford Family Foundation, RMC Research will conduct fidelity assessments of 15 grantees in Oregon in 2016.

Math 180 Brain Arcade Pilot Study

RMC Research is conducting a multi-site early outcomes study of Scholastic’s MATH 180 program, launched in fall 2013. MATH 180 is an intervention program designed to assist middle school students who are struggling with multiplication, division, fractions, and decimal operations.

System 44 Impact Evaluations

RMC Research conducted 2 randomized studies to investigate the impact of Scholastic’s System 44 reading program on the foundational reading skills of struggling readers, in particular elementary and middle school students with learning disabilities.

RMC Research conducted an evaluation of Scholastic’s Do The Math to assess program implementation and student outcomes. Do The Math is an intervention program that assists students in Grades 1 through 5 who are struggling with fundamental arithmetic skills.
