As part of REL Central, RMC Staff are providing technical assistance to members of the Educator Effectiveness Research Alliance to support the use of surveys of educator preparation program (EPP) candidates and completers. Across the region and nationally, state education agencies and EPPs have been working to develop new outcomes-focused measures for programs that support program improvement and that meet new state reporting requirements, Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) accreditation requirements, and proposed Title II regulations of the Higher Education Act. The team is reviewing and summarizing surveys created by states, districts, EPPs, and others. Once the review of those surveys is complete, the team will share results with alliance members for feedback. Next steps are likely to include providing additional detail about summarized information, identifying additional surveys of related content, and supporting survey development, administration, analysis, and reporting of survey data.
