RMC Research is evaluating Energy: A Multidisciplinary Approach for Teachers (EMAT), a 5-year Discovery Research K-12 project funded by the National Science Foundation and led by the Biological Sciences Curriculum Study (BSCS) in partnership with Oregon Public Broadcasting, the National Teacher Enhancement Network, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center.

East Metro Mathematics Leadership Project

Agency: David Douglas School District

The East Metro Mathematics Leadership (EaMML) Math Science Partnership is a collaboration among David Douglas School District, Centennial School District, the Multnomah Education Service District, and Portland State University. The 3-year project aims to develop math teacher leaders who will support principled teaching and learning of mathematics in their classrooms, schools, and districts.

Making Mathematical Reasoning Explicit (MMRE)

RMC Research is conducting an evaluation of Making Mathematical Reasoning Explicit, a Mathematics and Science Partnership project funded by the National Science Foundation and led by Washington State University and the University of Idaho. Making Mathematical Reasoning Explicit is developing a cadre of school- and district-based teacher leaders in rural districts in central and eastern Washington and northern Idaho to provide professional development that results in improved student achievement as demonstrated by improved mathematics student achievement and completion of advanced secondary mathematics courses.

Alaska Learning Module-Writing

RMC Research developed the content for an online professional development module for K-5 teachers and other education staff, Improving K-5 Writing Instruction.

Washington State Leadership and Assistance for Science Education Reform (LASER) Alliance Program Evaluation

RMC Research serves as the evaluator for the Washington State Leadership and Assistance for Science Education Reform (LASER) program, which involves a network of 9 regional alliances providing the professional development and technical assistance needed to implement inquiry-based science instruction in participating schools.

Essential Lens

Agency: Oregon Public Broadcasting

The Annenberg Foundation awarded Oregon Public Broadcasting a 1-year contract in fall 2013 to create Essential Lens: Analyzing Photographs Across the Curriculum. Essential Lens is a multidisciplinary resource for social science and science teachers that includes a website, videos, photographic analysis tasks, rights-cleared photo collections, photo archives, and interactive tools.

Connect to Math—Connect to Science (Mathematics and Science Partnerships)

Connect 2 Math Connect 2 Science (C2M C2S) was a 3 year project funded by the Mathematics and Science Partnership Program through the Oregon Department of Education that commenced at the beginning of the 2010-2011 school year. C2M C2S was conducted by Portland State University (Oregon) in collaboration with the school districts of Beaverton, Hillsboro, Parkrose, and Portland.
